Claydon Court energy analysis suggests the following …

• Use is highest its been since 2018 at 97,912 kWh. This is a combination of higher occupancy, cold weather and new uses e.g. EV chargers.
• Emissions are steady as proportion of renewable energy increases.
• Cost has doubled following ending of fixed price contract and cost increases of 100%.

There’s a limited amount we can do to reduce use as the insulation is as good as we can get and HVAC equipment is optimum efficiency. We are investigating improved metering again as newer technologies are available to help people measure and manage use better.

Everyone can help by continuing to use the least amount of energy as possible and keep heating / cooling to optimum temperature and times used. We ask people switch off or minimise any unnecessary equipment such as office PCs or fridges.

EV charger use is growing steadily. This is good news means we need to review how this service is managed. This doesn’t necessarily mean providing it at no cost, but might mean metering and charging the companies that use them.
