Grounds Update

Thanks to all colleagues for their help with watering the hanging baskets this summer. They are still going strong and whilst the rota has been completed they will only need infrequent watering for the final few weeks.

The wildflower border near the road is less successful with all the (very expensive) meadow flower seeds failing. Fortunately the weeds took over and still look nice.

The grass in the courtyard is the height it will stay for winter. We’re calling it ‘orchard height’ which is appropriate as all the land around here was orchards before being developed. We keep a short border to show visitors that it’s deliberate.
