We’ve tried to stick to our environmental credentials by re-using things from the past. Unfortunately we had no option but to latex the existing floor plate to provide a platform for re-cycled parquet flooring. We did wash out all the mixer bottles and return them to Bolton Bros for re-cycling and will offset 500kg of cement in our annual return.

Re-use, re-cycle
The flooring comes from Tom and the team at The Reclaimed Timber Business and used to be a school sports hall. We don’t plan to sand to make sure it is very obviously re-used.
There’s a lot of wood and it’s all tongue & groove oak. We’re going to see whether the below ‘rustic’ look works. If not, sand it down to bring it up looking like new.
