Whilst we fully support Earth Day and the conversations it generates, we prefer actions to words. Here’s a few of the things we’re up to at the moment …

EV Chargers

New plinths have been installed to allow two zones, with up to 6 x 7kWh chargers on each.  These are due shortly and with load-balancing will ensure all EVs get an equal share.  We also have the ability to offer EV chargers to the wider community either on a ‘as required’ basis or on more regular needs of the local community. 

Tree Sponsorship

As part of our ongoing commitment to offset carbon emissions and improve wildlife (and screen Claydon Campus) next week we will be planting a more trees at Claydon Court.  Tenants have the opportunity to match fund (i.e. pay half for) a tree like we did with EV chargers.  Pictures, etc. will be provided – it is great publicity. 

To Bee or Not To Bee

Sad to say but it looks like our bees are no longer with us.  The sun has been shining and not one has been spotted.  Swarms often move on which is hopefully what has happened here.  If you’re not sure about the importance of bees, read this article.  

Alternative Ways to Work

We plan to re-boot our earlier ‘Alternative Ways to Work’ project. A review of lockers and other shared resources (including a new bike shelter) will take place in May.  Our shower has been sadly neglected, sorry.  A thorough clean and refurb is scheduled in the next couple of weeks.
